The Infant and Toddlers Program parent education program is designed to help parents meet the developmental needs of their child. A transdisciplinary model is utilized to maximize each child's individualized educational program. Under the guidance of an educational team, you as a parent are trained to provide your child with specific activities that address his or her special needs. The parent is trained to incorporate appropriate activities into the child's natural home/daycare environment that maximaize opportunities for learning.
Parent education and direct intervention are provided in your home or your child's day care center. In addition, toddler groups are offered to meet the special needs of children two to three years old. These groups meet for two and one half hours, one or two days per week at Chapel Forge Early Childhood Center in Bowie, Maryland.
