Full House

The toddler students began school this week and did a great job. We now have a full house. All of the children seem to be settling in to the school routine very well.

Back–to-School Night

Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 27 for Back-to-School Night. We hope all parents and guardians will attend. It is a great opportunity to meet the staff, see the classrooms, and learn about the instructional program. The evening starts at 7:00. There will be a PTO meeting at 6:30 for all who are interested. Please come!

Reminders (again)

§ Please do not walk between the buses when you come to the school. Stay on the sidewalks. We work very hard to teach our children safety rules. We ask all adults to model this behavior. Thank you. Beginning Monday, September 17, the driveway will be blocked off to cars between 9:05 am to 9:25 am to ensure the safety of the children and staff. Thank you for your cooperation.

§ If you change your residence, daycare, or pick-up/drop-off location please notify the school right away. This helps with our record keeping and facilitates changes in transportation when needed.

§ Please remember that the staff is engaged with the children during the day. If you have a question for the teacher or therapist, please write a note in the communication book and they will respond with a note or phone call. If you need to call, please try to limit the calls to before 9:10 or after 3:30 unless there is an emergency. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Teacher of the Month

Do you think your child’s teacher deserves special recognition? The Bowie Education Committee has a way to do that through their Teacher of the Month awards. We have had several teachers receive this acknowledgement in the past few years. If you are interested you can look on the Bowie website www.cityofbowie.org and follow the link to Education. If you do not have internet access, you can call the Chapel Forge office.
