Back–to-School Night

This year’s Back-to School Night was a successful evening attended by 43% of the parents of Chapel Forge students. Thank you all for coming out and spending time in your child’s classroom. Hopefully, you received some good information about the activities and initiatives for the coming school year.

Fundraiser

Fundraiser packets went home last Friday. The fundraiser runs through October 16. Please take a look through the packet. There are many nice items available for the upcoming gift-giving season. This is our one fund raiser for the year. We use the profits to directly benefit the staff and students of Chapel Forge. Thank you for your support.

Wild About Reading

Don’t forget about our reading initiative – Wild About Reading. Every time you read a book to your child, write it down on a wild animal and send it in to your child’s teacher to be posted outside of the classroom. Reading to your children is one of the most important activities you can do. Please join us in this fun and worthwhile activity.

Teacher of the Month

Do you think your child’s teacher deserves special recognition? The Bowie Education Committee has a way to do that through their Teacher of the Month awards. We have had several teachers receive this acknowledgement in the past few years. If you are interested you can look on the Bowie website www.cityofbowie.org and follow the link to Education. If you do not have internet access, you can call the Chapel Forge office.
