Located in the library, this is a collection of materials that covers many of the issues that we are dealing with. Most of the materials are books. These books cover topics such as adoption, parenting, behavior problems, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism. In addition to the books, you can find assorted brochures from The Parent Institute, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Highlights, and Prince George's County Public Schools. Finally, there are copies of the magazine Exceptional Parent, devoted to "parenting your child or young adult with a disability".
In addition there are many wonderful books for children.
Any of these materials can be checked out. There is a sign-out sheet located on the shelf, or talk to your child's educator if you are unable to come to school yourself.
