CHARLES HERBERT FLOWERS HIGH SCHOOL COMPETES ON IT’S ACADEMIC

A team of outstanding students from Charles Herbert Flowers High School competed with teams from Bowie Senior High School in Bowie, and Chantilly High School in Chantilly, on IT’S ACADEMIC, the nation's foremost high school quiz program.  The competition was spirited, and Bowie Senior High School won the match.  The program will air Saturday, February 11, at 10:00 am on NBC4, Channel 4. The Flowers team consists of Captain Lulit Price, Grafton Daniels, and Evelyn Ojo.  Their faculty coach is Patricia Keith. IT’S ACADEMIC has been recognized by Guinness Book of Records as “the world’s Longest-running television quiz program.”  The George Washington University is now joining with Giant Food as cosponsor of IT’S ACADEMIC.
