Naval Science 1 (NJROTC 1)
Naval Science 1 is the first of a three of four year Naval Science program. The NJROTC program emphasizes each person's responsibilities in American society. The program includes classroom instruction, physical fitness, and military drill, wearing the uniform practicing military customs and courtesies, and leadership training. Students will be introduced to leadership theories on ethics and values, be exposed to the most technologically advanced and sophisticated communication network systems that make the USN the leader in electronic communications, and develop and motivate students to use the skills learned in NJROTC to be successful in high school and beyond.
Credits: 1.0 Elective 

Naval Science 2 (NJROTC 2)
Prerequisites: NJROTC 1
This course continues the instruction offered in Naval Science 1 at an advanced level. NJROTC 2 is intended to meet the needs of cadets who desire further training in Naval subjects and to gain additional leadership experiences. Naval Subjects (Maritime Geography, Meteorological-Astronomy, and Oceanography)
Credits: 1.0 Tech Ed

Naval Science 3 (NJROTC 3)
Prerequisites: NJROTC 2
This course continues the instruction offered in Naval Science 1 and 2 at an advanced level. NJROTC 3 is designed to meet the needs of cadets who desire advanced training in Naval subjects and to gain additional leadership experiences while holding cadet officer positions. Naval Subjects (National Security, Maritime Navigation, Laws of the Sea)

Naval Science 4 (NJROTC 4)
Prerequisites: NJROTC 3
This course continues the instruction offered in Naval Science 1, 2, and 3 but at an advanced level. NJROTC 4 is designed to meet the needs of senior cadets participating in the full four-year NJROTC program. Fourth year NJROTC comprise the command staff responsible for planning, organizing, and administering unit activities. They receive course work in advance leadership and organizational theory, complete workshops on college preparation; and career exploration.
