The Maryland Black-Eyed-Susan award honors exemplary children's books.
Sponsored by the Maryland Association of School Librarians, Maryland students
are able to vote for their favorite title. The winners are announced in
May.
To be eligible to vote, students must read eight or more picture books,
and/or three or more novels. Tulip Grove school library has at least one
copy of each of the books; students may find copies at the public library or
elsewhere as well.
