August 18, 2025 Dear Allenwood Elementary Families, Welcome to a brand-new school year! We are excited to officially kick off the 2025–2026 school year and look forward to partnering with you for what promises to be a year of growth, learning, and success for every child. Our theme this year is: “Together We Will Rise: Our Effort, Our Attitude, Our Responsibility This theme reflects our deep belief in the power of community and collaboration. When students attend school regularly, engage actively in their learning, and strive to achieve their personal best, incredible things happen. And when schools, families, and communities work together toward these goals, we truly rise. This year, we will focus on: ● Strong Instruction – Providing rigorous, student-centered teaching that meets the diverse needs of every learner. ● Consistent Attendance – Emphasizing the importance of being present every day and on time, ready to learn. ● Positive School Culture – Fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. Please make note of the following important dates: Student Orientation – Monday, August 25, 2025 PreK and Kindergarten (9:00am -10:00am) Grades 1st- 5th- 10:30 - 11:30 am First Day of School – Tuesday, August 26, 2025 School Hours – 8:30 AM to 2:40 PM We encourage you to stay connected throughout the year by attending school events, reading our updates, checking ClassDojo and the school’s website, and reaching out to your child’s teacher or school staff with questions or ideas.
