A Message from the Principal - Committed to BETTER Eagle Families, Happy New Year! As we begin 2026, we are excited to welcome our students back and continue building a safe, focused, and supportive learning environment where every scholar can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to seeing our students on Monday, January 5th, as we begin 2026 together. During the first semester, we piloted our cell phone lockbox initiative with our 6th graders. What we saw was powerful: - Increased focus in class - Stronger peer connections - More instructional time for learning Because of this success, we are ready to expand this initiative to our 7th and 8th-grade students.

Dear Eagle Families, Mensaje de la Directora: Comprometidos con la EXCELENCIA Familias de Eagle, ¡Feliz Año Nuevo! Al comenzar el 2026, nos entusiasma dar la bienvenida de nuevo a nuestros estudiantes y continuar construyendo un entorno de aprendizaje seguro, centrado y de apoyo donde cada estudiante pueda prosperar académica, social y emocionalmente. Espero ver a nuestros estudiantes el lunes 5 de enero, cuando comencemos juntos el 2026. Durante el primer semestre, implementamos un programa piloto de almacenamiento de teléfonos celulares con nuestros alumnos de sexto grado. Los resultados fueron muy positivos: - Mayor concentración en clase. - Mejores relaciones entre compañeros. - Más tiempo de instrucción para el aprendizaje. Gracias a este éxito, estamos listos para ampliar esta iniciativa a nuestros alumnos de séptimo y octavo grado. En qué consiste: Los estudiantes guardarán sus teléfonos al comienzo de la primera clase. Los teléfonos se almacenarán de forma segura durante la jornada escolar. Los estudiantes recogerán sus teléfonos al finalizar las clases.

Dear Eagle Families, As we prepare for an amazing 2025–2026 school year at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School, I want to take a moment to highlight our student attire expectations, as outlined in the flyer. Permitted Attire: To help maintain a safe and focused learning environment, each grade level will follow a specific polo shirt color: 6th Grade – Red Polo 7th Grade – Gray Polo 8th Grade – Navy Blue Polo Students should pair their polos with khaki pants or khaki shorts. Additionally, clear backpacks are required for all students this year to support safety measures. Restricted Attire: The following items are not permitted on campus: Hoodies Non-clear backpacks Character or designer backpacks (e.g., shark mouths, cartoon themes) Ski masks or face coverings that conceal identity Black pants, jeans, or any denim material These guidelines ensure consistency, safety, and school pride among our students. We ask for your partnership in helping your child arrive to school daily in full uniform and ready to soar!
