The Department of Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) is dedicated to supporting student education by promoting and encouraging healthy nutrition habits, such as increasing the consumption of fruits and vegetables, including whole grains, and eating balanced meals. All menus meet federal and state requirements and are based on the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Dietary Guidelines for Americans and ChooseMyPlate.Gov.

Welcome to a new school year!

Breakfast and Lunch is offered in all schools. Meals are no cost to students who are eligible for free or reduced priced meals. Parents are encouraged to complete the lunch application to determine eligibility for meal benefits. Households can complete an application at MySchoolApps.com. Online applications are processed within 24-48 hours. Students who are not eligible for free or reduced-priced meals must pay for their meals. See Meal Prices. Adult meal sales will resume as well.

New This Year...

The Department of Food & Nutrition Services is pleased to announce the expansion of Prince George’s County Public Schools participation in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Program for schools and school districts.  One hundred and twenty-four (124) schools are selected for participation for SY 23-24. This is a wonderful opportunity for the district to provide nutrition meals at no cost to approximately 82,000 students. For more information and a list schools participating in CEP click here (CEP Information).

A la carte sales of snacks and beverages will resume in all schools in accordance with Maryland State Department of Education Smart Snack Standards.
