Student Applications - Functions and Responsibilities

Implement data bases, information resources, and responsive supporting services needed to support the Prince George’s County Public Schools’ mission and the mission of the Division of Information Technology 
  • Implement data bases, information resources, and responsive supporting services needed for Prince George’s County Public Schools, central offices, and the Division of Information Technology.
  • Ensure that schools can properly schedule their students on the first day of classes.
  • Provide support for mission critical functions such as: attendance, grading, scheduling, discipline and reporting.
  • Provide student data that enables the School Communication System (SCS) to send out broadcast notification messages to parents and staff.
  • Provide data sets and data analysis for mandated county, state, and federal reports.
  • Create, maintain and distribute grading and reporting calendars to all schools.
  • Plan, support, and successfully transition to a new Student Information System (see SIS Brochure).
