A “swing move” is a temporary relocation of a school's program to a different building. Swing moves can occur for a multitude of reasons, the most frequent reason being to allow for major renovations or construction to be made to the school program's building.
The Department of Capital Programs coordinates with each school's leadership and all necessary internal departments, such as Transportation, Pupil Accounting, Food & Nutrition, Safety & Security Services, and Academics, to ensure the moves occur efficiently.
