News Release: Latino Education Summit to Feature White House Hispanic Initiative Leader

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — On Saturday, March 9,  White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics Senior Advisor Emmanuel Caudillo will headline the Inaugural Prince George's County Latino Education Summit, which will explore advancing educational equity for Latinx students.

Hosted by the Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) Office of Diversity Equity and Belonging, District 8 Board of Education Member Madeline LaSalle-Frazier and the Prince George's County Office of Latino Affairs, the summit will feature parent and student panels focused on maximizing the educational experience for Latino students — including strategies to creating more inclusive environments and recruitment Latino educators and staff to support the district's diversifying student population.
