Early Dismissal

Students are expected to complete a full day of school each day. Instruction ends at 1:55 pm. Parents are encouraged to make medical appointments after school hours. When an early departure is necessary, a note is required, indicating the time, date, and reason for the departure.  The note should be given to the teacher first thing in the morning.  Any change in departure must be specified in a note and given to the teacher who will share it with the office.

The note is then sent to the office.  If someone other than the parent is to pick up your child, you must send the school your written authorization.  (If there is a custody problem with a student, please notify the office and the teacher.)  This is to help ensure the safety of our students.  Students will not be allowed to leave the building either unescorted or without written parental consent. The parent/adult who is picking up your child is to report to the school office first and sign out the student.  Parent/adult must show then notify the classroom teacher of the early departure.
