UPDATED; Friday, February 6, 2026 - Due to the possibility of inclement weather, bus transportation will not be provided for athletics or after-school and evening activities. Athletic practices will continue; however, there will be no athletic competitions except the state indoor track meet. Facility use will not be impacted.
Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6, 2026 - Code Orange - Schools and offices will open with a two hour delay. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave.
- There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
- Vendor managed care programs open at 9 a.m.
- There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
- Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park, and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt)
- All field trips will be cancelled.
- Food Services will offer breakfast.
- Facility use will continue normally.
- After school and evening activities will proceed, but no bus transportation will be provided.
- Athletic practice will proceed as scheduled, but no bus transportation will be provided.
- Athletic competitions are cancelled except for the state indoor track meet.
