VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Tutor a child today and touch tomorrow !
Be INvolved! Join a team of vital tutor/mentors to increase student
learning and future success!
Why?
volunteer tutor/mentors to help
students one-on-one with reading and math.
How? Tutors work w/
students between 1 and 3 hours per week in the Reading Lab and/or in
classrooms.
Specific training and materials are supplied.
When? From *September through May, during school hours between
*Additional tutors needed all through the year since student
referrals increase throughout school year.
Many
government agencies and private businesses give employees weekly
released time to volunteer in a school as part of PIE (Partners
in Education).
Talk
to your supervisor. You and your supervisor may receive community service recognition for
your participation.
Ask us for details.
Remember, all volunteer mileage &
expenses are tax deductible!
Opportunities also
exist
for library, clerical, and classroom
volunteers.
Computer tech advice,
assistance, data entry, and equipment also urgently needed.
