Regular
school hours at Beltsville Elementary School are 7:45 a.m. to 1:55 p.m. Students
are not to arrive at the school before 7:25 a.m. Walkers will be dismissed at
2:15 p.m. The school office is open between 7:15 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Late opening and/or early
closing announcements:
Parents and guardians are urged to listen to local radio and television stations
on any day when the weather may cause a change to the regular schedule. Changes
are generally announced by 6:00 a.m., and early closings are announced as soon
as the decision has been made to do so. Watch Cable Station 12 for a "crawl"
message no later than 6:00 a.m., or check http://www.schools-out.com/princecounty.shtml
for schedule alterations. It is imperative that alternate arrangements have
been made for students to follow on early closing days, and that the students
and the school know (in writing) what the arrangements are.
Directions
From Howard County or Northern Prince
Georges County:
Take Interstate 95 South toward
Washington DC.
Take the exit off of 95N that is marked Route 212 - Beltsville (exit 29B)
Go straight through first light, then turn right onto Cedar Lane
Turn left onto Brandon Lane, then right onto Howard Road. Beltsville Elementary School will be on your left.
From Montgomery County or Southern/Eastern Prince Georges County:
Take the Capitol Beltway (495) towards
College Park, Maryland.
Exit onto Route 1 North toward Laurel.
Turn left at 5th light onto Montgomery Road. (landmarks: 7-11, Shell Gas Station)
Go straight through flashing light, and turn right onto Wicomico Ave. Beltsville
Elementary School is at the end of the block.
