Chapel Forge Teddy Bear   Preschool
our 3 and 4 year olds

The Preschool program offers an educational program as well as therapies designed to support the children in attaining their individualized educational program objectives.

Expressive language is a key component of the Preschool program.

Communication and socialization is emphasized throughout the program.

Fine motor and gross motor development are integral parts of the child's school day.

Our program uses a theme-based curriculum with  related activities throughout the month, and is based on the Transdisciplinary Team Model.  This model provides a sharing or transfer of information and skills across disciplinary boundaries. At the preschool level, the classroom teacher is recognized as the primary service provider who is working toward developmental goals  identified in the IEP/IFSP.  Related service providers are responsible for direct and indirect (consult) service so other team members can integrate strategies and methods within each of the child's activities.

For planning purposes, the first and third Wednesdays of each month are set aside for teachers to use for collaboration and in-service workshops.  On these Wednesdays, children do not come to school.
