DRESS VIOLATIONS
Things listed
here are violations of the uniform policy. Repeated violations
will result in reassignment to another school. The policy is
for boys and girls. |

Tops
8th grade
– solid burgundy 7th grade
– solid navy blue
o
Long or short
sleeved collared, polo-style shirt with two or three clear,
black or appropriate colored buttons at the neck.
o
Tops must be
tucked in securely.
o
DD Eisenhower
club/organization shirts are acceptable on designated days.
o
All undershirts and
tee-shirts should be black, white, or appropriate grade color
specific. |

Tops
o
May not have any
colored piping, embroidery, designs, logos, characters, names or
numbers of any size.
o
Sleeveless tops,
fish net, crop tops, v-necks, halters.
o
Undershirts and
tee-shirts should not be visible out of sleeves of shirt. |

Other tops
o
Cotton, poly-cotton
navy blue, waist length, v-neck sweater pull-over style vest,
front button cardigan. (Sweaters can be acrylic or cotton.)

All sweaters &
cardigans must be worn over the uniform shirt.

All outerwear
(fleece, sweaters, etc, must be grade specific) |

Jackets and coats
may not be worn in class and must be kept in your locker. |

Belts
o
Students are
encouraged to wear a belt that goes through the loops and are
buckled securely at the waist.

Belts should only be
worn when there are belt loops. |

Shoes
o
Plain black;
should be all one color.

Stripe or insignia

snow boots must be changed if worn with a skirt, skort, or
shorts.

No boots to be worn
with skirts, skorts, or shorts in the building.

No sandals or
slippers of any type… All feet must be covered |

Navy blue or tan

Uniform pants should be worn securely around waist with a belt.

Shorts should be of
appropriate length. (Use finger-tip rule)

Shorts and pants
must have a finished bottom (no cut-offs). |

Pants

No sweat pants
o
May not fall below
the waist, be baggy or sag, or contain characters, names or
numbers of any size.
o
Rubber bands and
bandanas are not allowed to be worn.
o
Pants may not be
rolled up or tucked into shoes or boots.
o
Pants may not be cut
or split at the hem or bottom. |

Skirts
o
Navy blue or khaki
in color
o
Must be fingertip
length or more when hand is placed at your side and standing at
attention.

Mini skirts and high
splits are not allowed.

Skirts must have a

Socks
o
Socks must be white,
black, burgundy, brown, or navy blue. Socks must be solid or
one colored.
o
Lengths – ankle,
shin or knee high socks are acceptable.
o
Socks should be
visible above the shoes.

Hosiery
o
Tights must be navy
blue, dark brown, burgundy or black only. Hosiery should be
one color all over. |

o
No characters,
multi-color print, designs, cutouts, holes, names, anything
dangling or logos.

Jewelry and
accessories
o
Neck jewelry must be
worn inside your shirt.
o
Earrings Diameter
of a quarter or smaller)
and extending no further than one 1 inch below the earlobe.

Jewelry and

Jewelry should not
pose safety hazards. No pinned buttons.

Bracelets, charms,
may not be replicas of weapons or contraband.

Any accessories
and/or jewelry deemed unsafe will be asked to be removed or
confiscated. |

Ribbons, barrettes,
strings, headbands, scrunches/pony tail holders are acceptable. |
