Social Studies: Welcome to school: School Rules Solving Problems, School Helpers, Families, Homes & Getting Along.

What are we working on this Month:

Math:  Students will learn the meaning of the words addition and subtraction and use the concepts. Also learn different ways to add numbers that have sums all the way up to 18 and learn different ways to subtract from numbers up to 18.

Reading: Theme 1: Silly Stories

They will decode unfamiliar words, read orally with accuracy and expression. They will also begin using reading strategies to understand what they have read.

Science: Students are studying life cycles of plants, animals and humans

Social Studies: Learn about different places, people live and the characteristics that describe each student; Study the earth’s natural resources and how to care for them
