Comer School Development Program Office and Regional Training Center

The Comer School Development Program Office and Regional Training Center provides coordination, oversight, technical support and assessment of the implementation of the Comer School Development Program in over 100 schools in Prince George's County, Maryland.  As a Yale University Child Study Center-certified Regional Professional Development and Training Center for Comer SDP, the office also brings visitors to PGCPS for site visits and joint participation in training events.

MISSION

The Comer School Development Program (SDP) and Regional Training Center provides the leadership, vision, and technical assistance necessary to assist schools in developing a comprehensive approach to continuous data-driven school improvement planning. 

This process reinforces and promotes the improved academic achievement and positive psycho-social development of all students. 

Our mission is to support schools in faithfully replicating the Comer School Development Program, which emphasizes child growth and development, human relations, organizational development and culture, curriculum, instruction, assessment, action research, data analysis and continuous student-centered school improvement planning. 

This office is dedicated to the accomplishment of the goals of the Prince George's County Strategic Plan improved academic outcomes for all students.
