Regional Training Opportunities |
|
In order to make Comer School Development Program
training opportunities available closer to home, the Yale University Child Study
Center Comer SDP Office established a Regional
Professional Development and Training Center in Prince
George's County, Maryland, through initial funding from the Rockefeller
Foundation.

|
Other Regional Training Centers have been developed with
SDP partner districts at additional locations around the nation.
|
|
The Yale
SDP's Professional Development and Consultation Unit oversees the
offerings of these sites.
|
|
Learning opportunities at the
Regional Training Centers vary from site to site and are offered at different points
during the school year. At any given moment, a Regional Training Center might be offering
a full-week training session, a one-day overview, an orientation session,
a retreat or dialogue session, school site visits, or one-day training
sessions on specific subjects.

Comer SDP Demonstration Schools have
been established in five districts. They are located in:
