The Youth Club is supported by
Douglass Faculty Members: Ms. Alleyne, Mrs. Brown, Ms. Coleman, Ms.
Enabe, Ms. Lawanson, Mr. Lawton and Mr. Woodyear.
Youth Club est. Fall 2005-2006 school year with over 100 students
attending at least once. An average of 15-20 students attended
regularly. Youth Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school
from 3:30pm - 5:00pm. Parental permission and transportation are
required until the after school activity buses begin operation in
October. Parent involvement and participation is invited. Seeking
parental assistance in donating NIV bibles to help with Youth Club
activities!
Projected Youth Club Initiatives for 2006-2007: 1) Activities that
will help satisfy student service requirements including but not
limited to visiting nursing home, 2) homeless shelter support in
feeding the homeless, 3) interschool community mentoring activities
with James Madison Middle School, 4) field trips, 5) activities that
promote fellowship and fun!
