Scholarship
Newsletter
Volume 2
Issue 1
To Seniors:
This is the first in a series of Scholarship Newsletters.
Throughout the year you will receive through your English
teacher these newsletters. Please
read carefully the eligibility requirements and the deadlines.
Applications for the scholarships can be found in the
scholarship file in the Career Center (located in the Guidance
Office). If the
folder is empty, more copies of the scholarships are available
from Ms. Godwin.
Remember:
Scholarships do take some time and energy. Plan
accordingly. You may
have to get recommendations from different sources.
You must allow these persons time to write you a
recommendation. The
time you spend will be worth the money in the end.
There are
different kinds of scholarships.
I try to put individual scholarships in the beginning of
the chart. Towards
the bottom of the chart you may find scholarships that colleges
and universities offer as incentive for you to choose their
school. Please look at these carefully, you may have to make a
decision of where to go to school based on how much money a
college or university will offer to you.
Good luck and
always ask for help. College is much more expensive than you think!
