Mr. McNamara's Class

AP Government & Politics

This course is designed to give an analytical perspective on government and politics in the United States. It includes both the study of general concepts used to interpret U.S. politics and the analysis of specific examples. The course also requires familiarity with the various institutions, groups, beliefs, and ideas that constitute U.S. politics.

Local/State/National Government

The purpose of this class is to provide students with knowledge about the importance of government as an institution necessary to a civil society. We begin by examining the relevance of government to our daily lives, look at various forms of government, and then look at the details of our own branches of government.
