Science Fair Projects
We are already coordinating the science fair events during the 2004-2005 academic year. As you know, the Science and Technology Department has a requirement for all of their students to satisfactorily complete a science fair project. I have enclosed a packet of information explaining the science project and the required approval papers which must completed before the start of research.
Science fair projects require thought, research, hand-on-work, and planning. In order to complete the project in a timely fashion, I have included a timeline. Most science fair projects will be shown in the Charles Herbert Flowers Fifth Annual Science Fair which will be held this upcoming winter.
The best science projects will be eligible to be shown at the Prince George’s County Science Fair. However, all projects must be registered and approved prior to start of the project. Please make sure that you become familiar with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair website (www.sciserv.org) because it has everything you need, including category descriptions, display and safety regulations, roles and responsibilities, and forms.
We look forward to working with all of you during the upcoming year and viewing all of your brilliant research. Please feel free to direct any of your questions or concerns to me at anytime.
