Friendly
High School

September 9, 2009
Greetings Parents:
I would like to take this opportunity to Welcome
each and every one of you to our annual Back to
School Night. Back to School Night is a special
occasion for the school community. It provides
parents a chance to clearly understand the school's
expectations for their child(ren) and learn about
specific course requirements.
Recently, our President spoke to children
nationwide about the importance of taking personal
responsibility for their education. Tonight is the
first step for this community to collectively take
responsibility for the students of Friendly High
School. Use this evening to uphold our most
valuable asset: Our Children. Take this opportunity
to become active participants in all facets of your
student's self-development as a scholar, and as a
person.
The PTSA is one vehicle to accomplish this. Dues
for the 2009-2010 school year are $25. I would like
for the entire school community to realize our
school mission and work towards building and
educated community of lifelong learners and
productive students. Our students will exceed all
expectations if we purposefully collaborate to
ensure a quality education for all.
Finally, if you have not already done so, please
email
Enrique.seale@pgcps.org to register for the
Principal’s electronic messages. Place
“Principal’s Electronic Messages” in the subject
line, and we’ll do the rest. My goal is to have
over 1000 parents on email. Thank you for your
continued support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Edward Ryans
Principal
