1. What is the required uniform for students at Friendly
High School (FHS)?
- Slacks: Young men and women may wear tan khaki
pants.
- Shorts: Young men and women may wear tan khaki
knee-length or longer shorts.
- Skirts: Young women may wear tan khaki knee-length
or longer skirts.
- Shirts/Tops: Young men and women may wear short or
long-sleeve red or royal blue polo shirts with or
without the school logo. Please be advised that shirts
must be solid red or royal blue. No stripes or designs.
A short or long-sleeve Light Blue Oxford shirt may be
worn for field trips, special assemblies, or class projects
(i.e. Honor Roll, SAT Hall of Fame, Honor Society
inductions, Class Presentations). Students will not be able
to wear clothing during the school day which represents a
particular club, organization, or athletic team. Teachers,
Sponsors, and Coaches do not have the authority to ask
students to wear clothing other than the official uniform
during the instructional day. Students will be granted
spirit days during homecoming and occasional “dress down’
days.
Sweaters: (Sweater styles include Cardigan and V-neck.)
Belts:
Shoes: (Shoes style includes tennis shoes and boots.)
- Black Shoes.
- Ladies choosing to wear high heels two (2) inches or
less.
2. What articles of clothing and accessories are
unacceptable?
- Oversized sweaters and vests Sleeveless
shirts
- Colored undershirts, t-shirts, tank tops, etc.
- Suspenders
- Jeans
- Athletic Wear
- Fashion gloves
- Mini-skirts and short-shorts
- Sunglasses
- Ponchos
- Capris
- Denim clothing of any kind
- Oversized & floor-length sweaters
- Hats (while in the building)
- Sweat bands
- Fishnet and decorative hosiery
- Stretch or form-fitting clothing
- Baggy Pants
- Cargo or painter pants
- Hooded clothing
- Slippers, flip-flops, or sandals (no open-toe or
open-heel shoes)
- Rubber bands, pins, buttons, pictures, etc. on
clothing
- Logos or wording on belts/belt buckles (this
includes the popular fashion belts that blink, spell
“SEXY” or spells out the child’s name, “TIFFANY”)
- Beads and Oversized necklaces and chains
- Chains should not be worn on the pants
- Jackets should not be worn over the uniform.
- Cut-up pants
- Bandanas
3. Where can I purchase the school uniform?
Uniform attire may be purchased at any retail vendor to
include Old Navy, Target, Wal-Mart, JC Penney, or Sears.
Flynn and O’Hara has solid red and solid royal blue polo
shirts, and the light-blue oxford shirts in stock.
4. What will happen to my child if he/she does not comply
with the established school uniform policy at FHS?
Specific steps are taken and penalties are imposed for
any student who violates the established school uniform
procedures at FHS. Violation of the policy may include home
contact, removal from classes, revocation of
extra-curricular activities, suspension, or reassignment of
the student to another school. If this occurs,
transportation will not be provided.

OF CLOTHING OR ACCESSORY LISTED, IT IS NOT A PART OF THE
MANDATORY SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY, AND STUDENTS CAN NOT WEAR
THE ITEM WHILE THEY ATTEND FHS. |
