Counseling Services

This department provides a comprehensive program for all students.  Professional school counselors assist and encourage students to understand themselves and others and to assume responsibility for their own direction.   We strive to assist PGCPS students as they develop effective social and emotional skills, provide information and options to parents and students in making effective educational decisions and student career planning. 

PGCPS school counselors assist parents and teachers in understanding growth patterns and emotional needs of students. In The International Student Counseling Office collaborates with parents and works to counsel, enroll and appropriately place international students within the Prince George's County Public School system. They also act as a resources to the Supplemental Services Team/SST and the Student, Staff, Support Team/SSST as well as being a liaison to community agencies.
