Fingerprinting and Background Check Information
For Volunteers
If you would like to volunteer in a classroom or volunteer for a field trip, the following options are required. For $8.00 you can get a commercial background check. This is good for one year and allows you to volunteer at school and on field trips. The second option is for $66.00 - you can get fingerprinted. The fingerprinting is good indefinitely as long as you volunteer at least once a year. Both services are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sasscer Administration Building: 14201 School Lane in Upper Marlboro, 20772.
Directions to the Sasscer Administration Building:
Exit Beltway at Pennsylvania Avenue/Rt. 4, South/East, towards Upper Marlboro. Exit Pennsylvania Avenue at Old Crain Highway. Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Old Crain Hwy., and continue for a short distance to "Sasscer Administration Building" sign on the left. Turn left onto School Lane and continue to the building on the left.
