Kim Lugo took the Child Safety letters that were returned. She will work on getting families together who would like to meet, so that their children can walk to and from school together.
Hollywood students enjoyed the Reptile Discovery assembly on Feb. 13^th that was paid for by the PTA. Thank you!
The Penny Race was highly successful! $2,682.82 was raised by our families for the PTA. All but one class will enjoy a pizza party on Wednesday, March 12^th for raising at least $100, and 4 classes will also enjoy ice cream for raising $200 or more.
The group discussed different fundraisers that the PTA could sponsor. The PTA can only have one fundraiser for every 3 non-fundraising events in order to remain a non-profit organization. The possibility of another “Holiday Shop” format for Mother’s Day was suggested.
The next Box Tops competition deadline is March 13^th.
The next Family Movie Night is scheduled for Friday, April 25^th.
No one has stepped forward to volunteer to head up the Fun Fair, so it was suggested that the activities be scaled down to include just those that were either most popular in years’ past, or ones that parents would enjoy coordinating. Fun Fair is scheduled for May 17^th. There will be a planning meeting at school at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 13^th. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Teacher Appreciation Day is May 5^th.
