High Point Mission Statement

High Point High School, in partnership with parents and the community, is dedicated to educating students from a variety of backgrounds and to maintaining a climate of high expectations in a safe, orderly environment.  Our mission is to ensure that students will have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in an ever-changing society.

 Mission Statement

A school library media program integrated into the school curriculum is essential to effectively educate students to succeed in our information-based society. The school library media program is designed to support national curriculum goals,  and Maryland, Prince George's County, and High Point curriculum goals. The High Point Media Center provides an organized, diverse collection of materials in a variety of formats for students and teachers that supports and enriches the curriculum.
The mission of the High Point High School Library Media Center is to provide access to a collection of print and non-print materials that support the high school curriculum and research needs as well as encourages and enriches reading; to provide students with access and opportunities to use information and technology responsibly and help students develop computer literacy skills; and help students develop information literacy and evaluation skills.
