Summer Opportunities
Staff, Parents/Guardians, and Community Supporters:
I have started receiving information on summer activities for students. Unfortunately I have not received any definite word on summer school opportunities yet, but I will send it on to you as soon as I receive. Until then, here are a few opportunities that I can share. I am sending the hard copies to the Counseling Department if you need more information.
- Camp Encore/Coda, Brookline, MA - www.encore-coda.com: from the brochure, "Since 1950 Camp Encore-Coda has welcomed spirited young people finishing Grades 3 - 11 from all over the world, who love to make music, play sports, and enjoy good times with friends in a beautiful Maine summer camp environment."
- Frostburg State University is offering an opportunity for gifted middle school students to participate in a project through the Maryland Summer Centers "Center for the Physics of Solar and Wind Power." There are only 24 slots available for the residential camp at Frostburg State University, July 13 - 18.
