Parents/Guardians:

During the school year 2006-2007, our School System began requiring fingerprinting and/or background checks for all volunteers in the school who work with the students over once or twice a year and for all who chaperone field trips. For most volunteer situations the background check is sufficient; anything requiring regular interaction with students or overnight field trips requires the full fingerprinting. Usually these are done only at the Sasscer Administration Building. However, in response to many requests, our system is now making it possible for you to satisfy this obligation closer to home (see below). We hope that you will take advantage of these opportunities even if you are not sure which field trip or event you may want to chaperone at this time. The cost for fingerprinting is $66.00; the cost for commercial background checks is $8.00.
