Physical Education

                                                 Mr. Bubonovich        Mr. Brown

Physical Education is an integral part of the total educational program. As such, it must seek to contribute to its overall goals. These goals are broadly conceived to include concerns for the cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and fitness areas.

Our physical education program is using a behavior management system to hold the students accountable in the area of participation. The goal of this program is to ensure that all students participate in physical education in a safe and cooperative manner. Each time a student violates one of the class behavior rules, he or she receives a (X) or a zero for participation that day. If a student has three or more zeros a phone call will be made to the parents to make them aware of the situation.

The rules of the class are as follows:

u                  When the whistle is blown: STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN to the teacher.

u                  No talking while the teacher is talking. RAISE YOUR HAND.

u                  No gum, candy or jewelry is to be brought to P.E. class.

u                  Always wear rubber sole shoes or tennis shoes to class.

u                  No fighting or disrespectfulness to teacher (Automatic 3 zeros and discipline referral.)

The consequences for unacceptable behavior are as follows:

1st Offense        Warning

2nd Offense       Time Out
