·        First day of school is August 20, 2007

·        School Hours 8:15 a.m. – 2:25 p.m.

·        Teacher and classroom assignments will be posted on the windows/doors on Saturday (8/18) and on the walls in the hallways the first day of school.

·        Back-to-School Night is Tuesday, September 4th at 6:30 p.m.

 

School uniforms are to be worn every day for all students PK-6

Mandatory Uniform Policy

The Mandatory Uniform Policy at Mary Harris “Mother” Jones Elementary is based on the Board of Education Policy 0600 regarding School Uniforms.  The Uniform Dress Code will be as follows:

Girls: White collared blouse, white polo style shirt, navy blue sweater, navy blue skirt/dress shorts, navy blue jumper, navy socks or tights, soft sole shoes

Boys: White collared dress shirt white polo style shirt, navy blue tie (optional,) navy blue pants, navy blue dress shorts, navy blue sweater, navy blue socks, soft sole shoes

 

·        School bus and transportation information will come directly from Prince George's County Public Schools Transportation Office.

·        The same meal benefit status will be granted until September 30, 2007.  If you do not have an application on file lunch is $1.75.  Send money in on the first day of school.  If you are not part of the meal benefits program and do not send in lunch money either send a lunch from home or your child will receive a cheese sandwich and a milk to drink.   We are part of the Maryland Breakfast Program so all students receive breakfast for free.
