School Goals

Kingsford Elementary School's goals are an incorporation of Prince George's County Public School's mission.

Goal 1: Student achievement will increase in core curricular areas.

Goal 2: School climate and facilities will be safe, orderly, and supportive of teaching and learning.

Goal 3: The quality of improving management effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability will enhance the school system service delivery.

Goal 4: Personnel policies, procedures, and programs will promote the recruitment, professional development, and retention of a quality workforce.

New Volunteer Policy!!

Maryland State Law requires that all employees at a public school system undergo a criminal background check.  Prince George's County Board of Education Policy 0106 requires that volunteers undergo a background check and fingerprinting to ensure safety for students, staff and fellow volunteers at school sites.

Chaperones who will participate in overnight school trips are considered to be a volunteer and must undergo a commercial background check. The volunteer will have to absorb the cost of the check.  The fee is currently $10 for a commercial background check.

Parents who participate in a regular school day field trip, career day or another one-time school activity will NOT be required to undergo a background check.
