Hello students,

We have entered a new advisory, which for all practical purposes, can be viewed as a new beginning. We will explore new literature in new ways, tackle new assignments, build new skills and create projects that demonstrate our understanding of great literature.

Let's take advantage of this new beginning. Concentrate on being and giving your best. After all, as 8th graders you are the best and the brightest at Kenmoor Middle School. Be proud of your efforts and accomplishments!

This advisory, eighth grade classes are required to read several novels.  The Giver by Lois Lowry is one of those novels. It's the 1994 Newbery Award-winning book and one of my favorites!
