Blacks in Wax
February 27, 2009

The Blacks in Wax Museum had the entire school buzzing with excitement as classes anticipated entry into a transformed school gymnasium. Prior to admission, classes were entertained with a video before being escorted through the magical red curtains into the Blacks in Wax museum. Once inside, student participants lined the perimeter of the gym floor dressed to represent historical personalities. The wax figures were brought to life with a gentle touch on the elbow. Students, staff, parents and guests got an opportunity to peek into the past and learn a lot about African American history. Kudos to social studies teachers Ms. Neal, Ms. Dudley and Ms. Siegel for a truly enchanting educational experience.

We naturally look forward to next year.
