 NEW STUDENTS/SCHEDULE CHANGES

At this point in the school year:

- all new students entering Laurel High School for the first time this year will have in their possession an official schedule with my signature stamp (LaTonya D. Black)

- students with scheduling changes will have in their possession the original schedule change form (red ink) with my initialed stamp (msldb)

PROCEDURES FOR SCHEDULE CHANGES

1. Students must first fill out a request form for a schedule change with their guidance counselor

2. If approved, the guidance counselor will submit a schedule change form to the scheduler

3. The scheduler will input the change in the system, print a schedule change form for the student and make copies for classroom teachers affected by change

4. Please do not remove a student from your class that is no longer on your attendance/class list. Please do not send the student to the data center for correction in their schedule.

5. A student aide from the data center will provide all students with a schedule change with their schedule change form and if appropriate will walk student to their new class.

GRADE CHANGE PROCEDURES

1. TEACHERS ONLY!!!!! Must request a grade change form from Mrs. Barnes in the Guidance office (room 111)

2. Please make sure that you fill out all the appropriate information (student id number; course number note if it is A-day and B-day course; marking period; your name and reason for change)

3. The Principal must sign off on all grade changes

4. After the Principal has signed the grade change form, the scheduler will input the change in the system

5. The teacher will receive two copies of the grade change, one of which should be given to the student
