"Building a Legacy of Excellence"
The Administration
Message from our Principal:

Welcome to Longfields Elementary where we
are “Building A Legacy of Excellence”!
After being named principal in 2004, my
goal has been to build the capacity of all stakeholders (students, staff,
parents and community partners) as we educate the whole child. Educating our
next generation of leaders is no small task. Developing and nurturing positive
working relationships, exposing our students to the best instructional
practices, cutting edge resources and varied learning experiences, will
accomplish this great task.
We are a caring community of
learners and leaders that promote academic achievement and moral development for
ALL students.
Longfields has a rich legacy of great leaders and I intend to carry the torch to the next level.

Message from our Assistant Principal:
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to Longfields Elementary School, Home of the Leopards! As an assistant administrator, I feel honored to have this opportunity to serve this community of learners. The students and parents of Longfields are valued stakeholders. Therefore, it is the intent of the faculty to provide a myriad of opportunities for children to become successful learners and to develop into productive members of society.
The primary goal of this school is to educate children and to foster their developmental abilities through meaningful instruction. The staff of Longfields will make it our business daily to ensure a safe and orderly environment that is conducive to learning.
Without prejudice, I truly believe that Longfields Elementary has the most caring and committed staff in Prince George’s County Public School System that works tirelessly to maximize students’ learning.
I would like to continue to encourage all parents to become an active member of our Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA) and to visit with us regularly to support our academic program. We are a school of “Excellence” with high expectations for our students. Therefore, “No Child’s” education will be compromised.
