Maintenance Medic Program 

 

The Maintenance Medic Program is a program designed to train Operations Personnel to perform minor repairs in the various trades of the Operations and Maintenance Department.  Candidates successfully completing each training program will be issued a certificate recognizing this achievement.  Candidates completing all three areas of training and demonstrating minimum expected production levels over a one-year period will be issued a Master Maintenance Medic Certificate. 

 Maintenance Medic Goals

  1. Provide in-service training in maintenance repairs for  Operations Personnel in order to promote their future professional growth.

  2. Provide a more responsive work force for minor repair tasks at the school level

  3.  Provide better communication of technical issues between the on-site Plant Operations and centrally based Maintenance Department Personnel in order to facilitate all repair operations.
