Principal's First Letter to
the Parents and Students 2007
April 28, 2008Dear Parents,
On Friday, May 2, we
invite parents and community members that have volunteered their services to
join us for a volunteer luncheon. Invitations have been sent. If you have
volunteered and we failed to send you an invitation, we apologize for the
oversight and ask that you contact the school office (301-952-7780). We want
to include all volunteers at our luncheon.
Thank you
for your participation in our Cookie Fundraiser. There were 55 participants
in this fundraiser. We raised $5406.00 which is a profit of $1838.04 for our
school. Our expenses for the play, Motown, One Man’s Dream, so far
have been $956.00. We will apply the balance to the purchase of a new
background curtain for the stage.
Accompanying
the newsletter is a brochure, A Parent’s Guide, Maryland’s plan for Pre-K – 12
Education 2008. The Maryland State Department of Education developed this
guide to inform you of the great strides made by the 24 school systems in the
state. Please read the guide to learn about services, programs and standards.
