Reading Tips for the parents.

 Marlton Suggested Activities

  • "Guest Readers" parents, staff, friends will be invited to read to the classes on March 2nd.
  • "Guess the book" each day clues will be given during morning announcements. The book will be announced at the end of the day.
  • We will set up times to Drop everything and read.
  • A Bulletin Board that will have puzzle piece clues that will answer the question. Whose birthday is March 2nd?
  • Read a book a day about a different state and we will plot it on the map for you.
  • The "Pledge to read a Dr. Seuss book" will appear in the newsletter and on our web page Read Across America badges will be given to all students who return their pledge.
  • The students will earn miles for every book they read and the miles will be plotted across a map located in the Media Center.
  • The students will receive a free gift certificate to the school store when they show their badge.
  • Announcements in the newsletter every week leading up to the day. 
  • Teacher's Top 100 Books for children
  • Kid's Top 100 Books

Seussville
Seussville has many wonderful activities for the kids.  They have already been planned out for you! All you have to do is give the kids a chance to explore.  There are games, songs, and activities to go with books and much more.  Give them a look-see and you will be pleasantly surprised.
