6th and 7th Grade Parent Night
The counseling department will be hosting a night for 6th and 7th grade students and parents to learn more about the upcoming year. For example, 7th grade students and parents will learn about tests and test dates for 8th graders to into science technology programs. In addition, 6th grade students and parents will learn about the 7th grade curriculum.

TMMS ANNUAL CAEER DAY - Our annual Career Day is coming your Way! It is scheduled for May 2nd from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. If you or if you know of someone who would like to be a presenter, please contact the Professional School Counselors at (301)702-7546/40.

Character Education The counseling department will be presenting information about character values and providing students with activities to discover more about character values.

Course Selection Counselors will be meeting with students to assist them in choosing their courses for next year. Specifically, the 6th and 7th grade counselor will meet with their students to help them select their creative arts for the 2008-2009SY.  

Promotion and Retention If your child was not academically successful this school year he/she may be required to go to summer school to be promoted or be retained; however, you will be notified as soon as possible.

Student Information Updates Has your work or home phone number changed?  Have you changed your address?  If so, please contact the guidance department immediately.  It is very important that we have current information on every Student enrolled at TMMS.

This website is most helpful for parents. It allows parents the opportunity to view his/her child’s ongoing progress in each academic subject. To gain access, you will need  to contact each teacher for the classword, as well as your child’s password. If you encounter any problems, please contact Ms.Sharpe, Parent Liaison.

Registration/Withdrawal Reminders

In an effort to accommodate all of our parents, we would like to remind you of the registration & withdrawal process: Registrations will begin at 9:30 am to 1:30 pm M-F. Items needed: Proof of Residency (Lease or Deed), Up dated shot records (include Varicella shot), Current report card, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate (must have parent (s) name), Parent Identification. Withdrawals will be processed within 24 hours. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Campbell at 301-702-7546.

COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS Students! Did you know that you must complete 75 hours of service-learning as part of your graduation requirements? Students may begin to accumulate community service hours in 7th grade.  If you have already started, please make sure you record your hours on the Student Service Hour Form located in the Guidance Department. For more information or questions, please contact  your child’s School Counselor.

Daily Progress Reports Daily progress reports are an excellent way to monitor your child’s academics and behavior.  Progress reports are available on in the Counseling Office.
