Media Center Before and After Video

This 10 megabyte video is a record of how the media center looked in August, 2006. Our Principal, Mr. Adams, arranged for county employees to paint the media center which resulted in it being closed for a little over a month. The students and staff took advantage of that time to refurbish the media center. They removed graffiti and gum from the furniture, repaired the shelves, rewired and formatted the computers and reorganized the books. The results are evident in the smiles and looks of determination on the faces of the students in the photographs. "Mouse over" to start the show.

Media Center Before Photographs

These photographs were taken at the beginning of the school year, August 2006. One can see the peeling paint, holes in the book shelves and wires running from the computers throughout and across the floors.

Media Center After Photographs

These photographs are of the media center as it is today. We never really fully closed as the spirit of the students overcame all efforts to shut the place down. They would come in and ask for and check out books even while the ceiling was being painted and shelves were being stained and repaired. We believe that everyday, with a little effort, things will get better for the community and children of our school. Our motto: Teamwork makes the dream work.
