How you can communicate to a child that is non-verbal |
At Margaret Brent we use a multimodal approach that may include picture communication symbols, topic boards, American Sign Language and/or augmentative output devices. We are providing you with a list of picture communication symbols and signs commonly used throughout our school with our students. These are alternative techniques that may assist or provide a student the means to communicate.

Picture Communication
System (PCS) These are images produced to allow students to use pictures to communicate. |

These are hand signal language designed for the deaf. These allow students to use their hands to communicate.
