Mr. Jerome Thomas, Principal
Welcome to Northwestern High School , a school with a rich history and an exciting future! As you begin this new school year, it is important that you take a moment to think about what it means to be a Northwestern student. I hope that you will realize that a Northwestern student is one that is goal-oriented, calm, focused, and purposeful. More importantly a Northwestern student is one that is destined to graduate from high school with the requisite skills to pursue myriad post-secondary and career opportunities. My hope is that each of you will have a positive, productive, and academically successful year that will lead you closer to fulfilling your future personal and professional goals.
The student planner has been created to help you map out, organize, and track your goals, assignments, and responsibilities both in and outside of school. Make it a part of all that you do. Keep it close by taking it to all your classes. Use it every single day.
As you begin your 2006-2007 school year, please take the time to read the content, understand the format and follow the school policies outlined in your Agenda Planner. The revised enhanced Northwestern Student Dress Code has been included in your planner for quick reference. Please share your planner with your parents so that they, too, will know what is happening at Northwestern and what is expected of you.

In closing, I hope that each of you will decide to make this your best year yet.
Best wishes for a terrific year, and welcome to Wildcat Country!
Northwestern High School Administrative Policies. The following policies are the result of directives from the Board of Education, Principal of Northwestern High School, Administrative Team Members, Teachers Unions, and petitions from our Student Government Association to improve operations at our school. These documents serve as guidance on student behavior critical to successful student outcomes while at Northwestern. All students are affected by some aspect or in some cases the majority of these policies when questions are asked that pertain to their daily well being for day and eveing activities. Since each school year has a different set of requirements students and parents are encourage to read, review, and ask questions if it warrants further clarification on school matters and issues. Students and parents are obligated to adhere to these policies.
