.:How Can We Stop This?:.

A way that we can all help stop this is buying Hybrid cars. Hybrid cars use two or more power sources enabling it to use less gas than a normal car would use. Common among those power sources are On-board rechargable energy storage system (RESS), a fueled power source, air and internal combustion engines, and electically powered motors. Making it economically a good thing considering gas prices are up to about $4.00 per gallon. Hybrid cars cost more than a normal car does because of the techonolgy it has. For example a normal Toyota Camry cost $18,720 and a Hybrid Toyota Camry cost $25,350. It is about $7,000 more expensive, but in the long run you will probably end up saving more money and more lives. The normal Camry has a 21 mpg rating, while the Hybrid Camry has a 33 mpg rating. Meaning you get about 12 extra miles per gallon than an owner of a non-hybrid car.
