Drunk driving is driving while under the influence of alcohol. It is illegal in all states of the United States. Your motor skills are impaired while driving drunk. You may not be away of what you are doing, and you are at risk of harming yourself and other people. Many people all killed a year from alcohol related accidents. In 2003, 500,000 people were killed from alcohol related accidents. Punishments for drunk driving include jail time, large fines, DUI programs, and installation of ignition interlock devices. Many jurisdictions require more serious penalties in cases where the driver's BAC is over 0.20, or 0.15 in some places. Drunk Driving penalties were placed in the United States in 1910.
